Dataprotection: As confirmed in the "Terms and Conditions" (contract with cardmembers), American Express is sharing card usage data, i.e. card transactions inclduding amount, time, date and merchant and (e.g. in case of disputes) information about bought goods or services with GEA and GEA third parties (i.e. Concur as our chosen partner for busines travel management). New EU payment services guidelines
From the 14th of September 2019 on, an important part of the new payment services guideline PSD2 comes into effect. From this date on there is the need for additional security athentifications. This is called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). The increase of the security means that card issuer need to review the identity of card holders: while online shopping, contactless payments in the store or while logging in to the online account. Ongoing EU interbank fee regulation
A few Corporate Card holder will receive a new plastic in 2019 although the existing card is still valid. The background is that we need to reissue a few of our Corporate products to still follow the EU interbank fee regulation (IFR).
