Comprehensive insurance package

You are well insured. Your package consists of:

Limit and line of credit of your card

The American Express Corporate Cards are to be used within the Cardmember's financial means. Unless a spending limit has been agreed with you, the cards are not subject to a spending limit. Please refer to the section "Credit limit" in your membership conditions.

You can of course also use the Corporate Card for larger expenses. If you deviate from your regular spending habits, our customer service may contact you for security reasons. We therefore recommend that you notify us briefly using the telephone number on the back of your card before making unusually large individual expenditures. We will immediately check whether these can be made possible via the Corporate Card.

Extended Payment Terms

With the Corporate Card from American Express, you can pay all relevant travel expenses without cash. By having a term of credit of 28 days after the statement is issued it gives you enough time to submit your travel expenses.

  • Information on options for outpatient treatment or designation of a German-speaking or English-speaking doctor

As a cardmember, you have access to a specially secured online area. At www.americanexpress.at you will find the one-time registration area on the left-hand side, where you can create a user name and password. All the important information about your card account is available there at any time - quickly, conveniently and easily:

The AMEX Mobile App

The American Express Mobile app allows Cardmembers to easily and conveniently:

Contactless payment

Pay conveniently contactless with your card: at any payment terminal with the American Express contactless symbol. At many vending machines and stores, such as supermarkets, petrol stations or when shopping, you can pay amounts up to 50 euros in Austria, usually even without entering your PIN.

Contactless (NFC) is a quick, easy and secure way to pay for your purchases with your American Express Card, whether you are buying a coffee, a sandwich or a train ticket. Simply touch the reader with your American Express card, wait for the confirmation tone and you're done. Contactless payment with American Express is just as secure as chip and PIN and offers you the same protection against card misuse.

Security by PIN

Your card uses chip and PIN technology for added security. Instead of signing the bill when purchasing an item, you will be asked for your PIN (more and more stores are upgrading their systems). You can view your PIN on your online account at www.americanexpress.at/konto-online.

If you applied for a card online, you will have been asked to choose your own PIN. If you submitted a paper application, your PIN is chosen randomly and cannot be changed. In this case, the PIN will be sent to you by post separately to the card.

Protection from abuse

Simply reassuring: we notify you of unusual account movements by text message and/or e-mail. If your card or card number is misused through no fault of your own, you are well protected

Replacement Card

Wherever you are: If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, you will immediately receive a replacement card free of charge.
You can request this by calling the telephone number on the back of the card.
