Global Assist is a worldwide American Express Service to support Cardmembers in an emergency.

Medical emergencies

  • Information on options for outpatient treatment or designation of a German-speaking or English-speaking doctor
  • Provision of doctors, nursing services, dentists, pharmacists
  • Forwarding of lost or forgotten prescriptions
  • Organization of and assumption of costs for sending medication
  • Deployment of a doctor
  • Advance cost payments up to EUR 3,000
  • Hospitalization

In an emergency/in the event of loss of currency and travel documents

  • In an emergency, advance cost payment of EUR 1,000
  • Help with obtaining replacement travel documents from the assistance service provider
  • Help in the event of prosecution proceedings/dealings with authorities

In an emergency/designation of an attorney and/or interpreter

  • Disbursement of the associated legal and interpreting costs up to EUR 1,000
  • Help with locating lost luggage
